Lindsay pleaded not guilty to the charge at an earlier hearing. According to reports, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz has sent Lindsay's case to another judge, Stephanie Sautner, for a preliminary hearing, but she will have another hearing in Judge Schwartz's courtroom on March 25 where she will be able to plead either guilty or no-contest to the grand theft charge. If she doesn't accept the plea, Judge Sautner will hold a preliminary hearing on April 22 and at that time will decide if Lindsay violated her probation. If that's the case, Lindsay will go to jail as she awaits trial. After Lindsay's last hearing, reports said that Judge Schwartz issued a harsh warning, telling her that he would sentence her to jail if she accepted a plea deal from prosecutors by pleading guilty or no contest.
